Biography
Laura Reicher, born in 2000 in Landsberg am Lech, is an Austrian pianist.
She has been awarded multiple national and international prizes and performs successfully both domestically and abroad. Her musical journey began at the age of eight under the tutelage of Dr. Maximilian Hofbauer at the Municipal Music School in Landsberg. In 2011, she advanced her studies with the esteemed piano pedagogue Julia Goldstein. This intensive training paved the way for her acceptance at the age of 15 into the Pre-College Program at the University of Music in Nuremberg, where she studied under the guidance of Professor Wolfgang Manz.
In October 2018, Laura began her studies with the distinguished pianist Pavel Gililov at the prestigious Mozarteum University in Salzburg. She graduated with highest honors in June 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree as a soloist.
Laura has been awarded numerous top prizes at both national and international competitions. These include first prizes at the national “Jugend Musiziert” competition in 2014 and 2016, as well as five awards at the international “Münchner Klavierpodium” competition. Additionally, she received a special prize for the best interpretation of a work by Robert Schumann at the International Anton Rubinstein Competition 2017 in Düsseldorf, and a second prize at the Robert Schumann Competition 2017 for Young Pianists in Zwickau.
Furthermore, Laura has been invited to perform at concerts around the world, including in countries such as Italy, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Austria, France, and Poland. In 2017, she was awarded a full scholarship for the international masterclass “Meisterschüler Meister” at Schloss Neuhardenberg in Berlin, under the direction of world-renowned cellist Jan Vogler and pianist Antti Sirrala. She was also selected to participate in the 2nd International Piano Festival Bolzano Bozen, where she was honored for her outstanding solo recital at the Palazzo Mercantile in Bolzano. During the festival, she received instruction from prominent pianists and professors such as Sofya Gulyak, Jura Margulis, Gabriele Baldocci, and Christiano Burato.
Laura also took part in the International Clavicologne Festival at the Mozarteum Salzburg, where she gained valuable insights from esteemed professors such as Robert Levin, Michel Beroff, and Dmitri Alexeev. In 2023, she was chosen to participate in the International Piano Academy Bisma in Luslawice, Poland.
In addition, Laura is highly active in chamber music projects and has performed in various ensembles at concerts, masterclasses, and festivals. She has drawn significant inspiration from artists such as Clemens Hagen, Jan Vogler, and Mira Wang.
For her exceptional musical achievements, Laura was awarded the “Leonhard and Ida Wolf Memorial Prize 2018” by the cities of Fürth and Nuremberg, an honor granted only every two years.
